On the evening of August 11, the Rio Filmpalast cinema in Munich hosted a sold-out premiere: The documentary film “Die zärtliche Revolution” (The Tender Revolution) thrilled audiences with profound stories of people who place care, nursing, and inclusion at the center of their lives—often under difficult conditions and without social recognition. Moderator Henning Pulß opened the evening together with director Annelie Boroș and got the guests in the mood for the film.

Moving voices from real life
In the film discussion that followed, the protagonists themselves had their say. Arnold, a caring father, reminded the audience that care can affect anyone and everyone – and that commitment begins with oneself: “Only someone who takes action can make a difference – for those we love.” Samuel, an activist in a wheelchair, recounted how Annelie's openness encouraged him to show his vulnerability on camera: “I was able to open up because Annelie did the same.”

Bożena, a 24-hour caregiver, spoke urgently about exploitation and lack of recognition in the care sector: “We are all angels, after all.” Climate activist Amanda emphasized the importance of trust in sharing her personal experiences despite language barriers.

Premiere leaves a lasting impression
The audience was visibly moved. “The film touched me deeply,” said one visitor. Another guest summed it up: “The solutions are there—you just have to be willing to see them.”
