The Author

buchautor_lukas_hartmann_copyr Lukas Hartmann
Author of "Dark Fortune"

Lukas Hartmann, born in Bern in 1944, studied German and psychology. He was a teacher, journalist and media consultant. Today he lives as a freelance writer in Spiegel near Bern and writes books for adults and children. He is one of Switzerland's best-known authors and his novels are regularly on the bestseller list.

Hartmann's novel "Dark Fortune" was published by Diogenes in 2010. For the filming of his gruesomely beautiful story, only Stefan Haupt came into question for the author: His view of the light and dark sides of life and 'Gspüri' (feeling) for special children's characters convinced him.
