Filip Antoni Malinowski
Filip Antoni Malinowski was born in Poland in 1982. Since 1989 he has lived in Vienna, where he studied Theatre, Film and Media Studies. He also studied art and cinema at the Academy of Fine Arts with Harun Farocki during which he made his first films.
In 2008 he founded the film production company Soleil Film, for which he now works as a producer and director in Vienna and Berlin. His first long documentary "Eksmisja" (2012), a film about an old Polish couple and their struggle against the imminent loss of their home, ran at over 30 film festivals and won several awards. His second long documentary film "Guardians of the Earth" (2017) about the 2015 World Climate Conference in Paris was also successfully screened at numerous film festivals and will be released in German cinemas on 31 May 2018 following its cinema release in Austria.
