Marta György-Kessler worked as an actress in Hungary when she got to know Buddhism through Hannah and Ole Nydahl in 1990. Since then she has lived and worked in many Buddhist centres in Europe. Since 2002 she herself has been travelling in many countries as a Buddhist teacher.

For over 15 years Marta travelled together with Hannah and Lama Ole. During this time she experienced their activities directly and developed a very close relationship with Hannah in particular. In 2009 she had the idea to write down Hannah's life story – the basis for this project. "Hannah: Buddhism's Untold Journey" is Marta's first documentary film. Marta lives in London.
