Gripping German social drama with Godehard Giese
His days are long, his diary is full – a busy life in the marketing department of a cosmetics manufacturer. When Walter is unexpectedly dismissed in his mid-forties, he loses all his grip. The enforced time-out raises existential questions. In search of answers, Walter takes refuge in the identity of another man. But what are the coordinates of life when work and performance are no longer the measure of all things?
The social drama "Not.Now." aims right into the cold heart of our modern achievement-oriented society and shows how unemployment can become an identity crisis. Godehard Giese ("Liebmann", "Summers Downstairs") convinces in a character role as marketing director Walter, who loses his job and with it his entire purpose in life. Gripping German cinema, which is deeply disturbing and at the same time inspires hope: In the midst of the collapse, long forgotten dreams of a completely different life are awakened in Walter.
