Claus Wischmann
After studying piano and saxophone at the Frankfurt Music Academy, Claus Wischmann decided to make a documentaries. His films, for which he is responsible for writing and directing, have been shown at the Berlinale, IDFA, in Nyon, Vancouver, São Paulo and Sichuan, among others, and won a Lola nomination as well as awards in Vancouver, New York, Ludwigshafen, Warsaw and Prague, among others. His first feature-length documentary "Kinshasa Symphony" was nominated for the German Film Award and the Grimme Prize, won numerous awards at national and international festivals and was shown successfully in cinemas. Claus Wischmann is managing director of the music production company sounding images GmbH.
