Kuba Czekaj

Kuba Czekaj is a Polish director and screenwriter. He graduated from the Krzysztof Kieslowski University in Silesia in 2010 with a degree in directing. His screenplay for his first full-length feature film BABY BUMP was one of the three winners of the 2014 Biennale College Cinema program. BABY BUMP won the Special Queer Lion prize at the 72nd Venice Film Festival and the Artistic Vision Award at Outfest Los Angeles in 2016. Kuba's next feature film, THE ERLPRINCE, premiered at the Slamdance Festival in America in 2017 and its European premiere took place at the Berlinale in the same year. Kuba won the Baumi Script Development Award for the screenplay of his subsequent film SORRY, POLAND at the 2017 Berlinale and received the Krzysztof Kieślowski ScripTeast Award in Cannes in the same year.
