Lia Jaspers
Lia Jaspers, born in Munich, studied ethnology, comparative literature and musicology in Cologne before studying documentary film at the HFF in Munich.
After several short films (1997 Farbkraft, 1998 Rauschen, 2002 Masami) she realised her award-winning documentary film "Tar Dakar" about the youth scene in Dakar in 2005. In addition to numerous reports and magazine articles in Germany and abroad, she wrote the script for her first long cinema documentary "You Drive Me Crazy" in 2012, which she realised together with Andrea Thiele for BR and BR/arte. "Match Me!" is her second documentary for cinema. Lia Jaspers lives as a freelance author and director in Munich.
