Cinema for Schools
"Max Topas" in class
"Max Topas: The Book of the Crystal Children" is a fantasy film that deals with a primal fear of children: the loss of the family. It is about courage and a world that is different from what you see with your own eyes at first sight. And it tells of children who can be powerful enough to resist evil and go their own way – off the beaten path of adults.
Developed as a spin-off of a primary school film club, "Max Topas: The Book of the Crystal Children" is also a vivid example of how modern digital technology, a tiny one-man crew and non-professional child actors can be used to create a real cinema feature film.
