Director's Commentary
»"Just One Day" is a film about the unbridled lust for life. With animal figures the fable tells of us humans. So what was more natural to let humans play them as well? In this way I create distance and closeness at the same time. I wanted to transfer this trick from the theatre to the cinema.
The aim was to return to language, characters and narrative depth in a film for children and adults. It was important to me not to explain everything to death, but to fire the imagination of the audience.«
