Konstantin Faigle (*1971 in Sulz am Neckar, † 16 June 2016 in Cologne) studied media technology in Stuttgart and then worked as a freelance editor, author and director for WDR, arte and ZDF, among others. From 1999 to 2002, he completed postgraduate studies in screenwriting and directing at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne. Since then he was a freelance filmmaker.

In 2002 his autobiographical film "Out of EDEKA" was released in the cinemas, for which he received the Bavarian Documentary Film Award in 2001. His documentary film "Keep Up the Good Work" celebrated its premiere in 2012 at the Kassel Documentary Film and Video Festival as the opening film and was shown in January 2013 at the Saarbrücken Filmfestival Max Ophüls Preis in the documentary film competition.

His documentaries have a characteristic format and are interspersed with biographical elements, puppet shows, music clips and feature film sequences, not to mention a good dose of self-irony and humour.

Konstantin Faigle lived in Cologne for many years and died on 16 June 2016.
